ARCHIVE TV ADVENT CALENDAR DAY TWENTY-FOUR: 24 December 1989

We made it! What better preparation for the big day could there be than the culmination of yet another series of daily December posts by me that prove to be really unpopular but which I bloody-mindedly see through right to the bitter end in the face of almost total indifference. Have a mince pie.

  1. They were popular with me anyway. Admittedly I fell behind with the actual videos quite a a bit at one point, in particular the hour long one about a film director took a while for me to get the chance to have the time to watch, and then hot on it’s heel was the Lewis-Smith one which I figured I should wait until I was in the right mood to watch, but in hindsight I probably could have watched sooner than I did. All in all I’m as bloody-minded as you and I commited from the start to watching the whole lot, and strictly in the order posted, so I will finish the last 5 posts either today or tomorrow. As Magnus Magnusson said (I’m not sure if it was before or after that weird board game with the coloured pegs), I’ve started so I’ll finish… Merry Christmas Mark, thank you for giving me something interesting and amusing to read each day this month and digging up some great old telly for me to watch.
